A contra-indication is a (usually medical) reason which could possibly prevent a client from having treatment.

This is a general list which could prevent any surgical electrolysis treatments. If you have/suffer from/currently have any of these conditions then we would advise you to visit your GP or Specialist first. If we have written permission from them prior to your appointment then we can usually go ahead with treatment.

• AIDS/HIV
• Haemophilia
• Hepatitis B
• Sunburnt skin at the time of treatment
• Laser treatment within the last 6 months
• Heart conditions, circulatory disorders
• Pacemaker (GP permission required)
• Diabetes (GP permission required)
• Keloid scarring
• Hypertension
• Pregnancy
