Red/Broken Veins
Immediately after your treatment the area will feel red, swollen and warm, this is quite normal. We will cool the area with an Aloe Vera compress and then dust over the area with Jane Iredale Mineral Make-Up. This will soothe the area and start the healing process, and reblend any previous make-up. We only use Jane Iredale and only recommend you use this product over the treated area. Both clinics stock the Jane Iredale Mineral range.
For the next 48 hours -
Do not touch the treated area unless applying aloe vera with freshly washed hands.
Normally after 48 hours pin dot scabs may appear thereby sealing the skin and preventng infection. These must not on any account be picked off. They won't be large and will feel like grains of sand over the area.
If absolutely necessary the area can be washed or cleansed. Avoid soap and use a gentle cleanser instead. Pat dry with paper tissues not a towel.
Do nothing to cause sweating or dilation of the capillaries eg: exercise, alcohol or hot spicy foods. Do not fly over the next week.
Avoid sunbathing, swimming, sunbeds, saunas, facial steamers and facial scrubs. Use a good sunblock. We recommend Environ 'RAD'
Avoid possible skin sensitisers such as perfumes, fake tans or perfumed creams.
Skin Tag/Seborrhoeic Wart/Plane Warts
Aftercare for these is exactly the same as above, however, it is entirely possible (depending on location) that a small dressing has been used over the area. This is used to protect the area from clothing. Keep this on for 24 hours then gently remove.
The treated area will crust over. Do not touch or pick at the area. After the initial healing the area can stay slightly red for a while. This will gradually reduce until full healing has taken place. To speed this up we recommend using Environ 'RAD' sunscreen. |
